Rainbow Feathers

A quick card for today's post. I had an idea to do this as soon as I saw the sketch on CAS(E) This Sketch this week. Took me a while to find a bit of time in my Craft Room to finally get done. The images were stamped with distress inks and then sprayed with water. Love the magic with water and distress inks on water colour paper! I'm also adding this card to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes! Thanks for dropping by!

Persian Market

It's been a while since I've inked up any stamps! Here is one that I made a while ago for a publication submission but was not picked up. This was the first time I had stamped up my new AlteNew Persian Motifs! I just love the designs coloured in with Copic markers! I'm adding this card to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Anything Goes challenge. Thanks for dropping by! I'm looking forward to a Crafty weekend next week with some Crafting buddies!!

Wine label card 4

Another wine label card to add to my collection. I've made a series of these cards and each one is slightly different. I've made this using distress inks on water colour paper, wetting just the watercolour paper and not the wine label. Love this effect! I'm adding this card to Simon Says Stamp - Make your own background challenge. Thanks for dropping by!

Nerdy Cards

OK, I'll admit it, working in Medical Science and with computers - I'm a nerd!! I love making cards and even better when I make ones closer to home! This nerdy card of mine got recently published in September issue of Papercrafts and Scrapbooking (pg 56)!

PCS is running a September Nerdy Challenge on Flickr and here is my submission made for a farewell for one of my staff at work. I'm also adding this card to A Blog Named Hero Challenge #51 - Spell It Out For Me. Thanks for dropping by!

I made a matching envelope to hold the gift cards as well! Photo taken in my section of the laboratory.

Runway Inspired

As Melbourne celebrated Melbourne Spring Fashion Week this week, it is most appropriate to make a card inspired by a Runway design. I love the current Runway Inspired photo of Veronica Beard's design. I decided to use patterned paper for this card. I could not find any houndstooth PP or washi so opted out for a polka dot washi tape instead. I'm also adding this to Simon Says Stamp Stamptember Stamp-It Challenge. Scroll down to see some of the photos I took last night at MSFW.

RIC# 67 Veronica Beard
Last night, I attended the last day of the MSFW Emerging Students Runway at The Melbourne Town Hall. It was very exciting to look at designs from selected students from various FashionDesign Schools in Melbourne. It was great that one of my friends was selected from the Melbourne School of Fashion for the Runway. We had a great night and here are some of the photos I took.

Casing Debby

The new Case Study Challenge Muse is the ever so talented Debby Hughes. I love her style and love to case her cards. The first challenge for CSC#207 is a lovely card stamped on vellum and coloured on the back with Copics. I was lucky to just receive my new AlteNew stamp set (from my prize money for RIC) and it happened to be the same set that Debby used. Here is my card, and thanks for dropping by! I'm also adding this to a couple of Simon Says Challenges - Work it Wednesday and Wednesday Stamptember Stamp It.
